1. Finding Text :
Finding is the process of locating or searching the required text in the document. Suppose we want to search the word "Sales". Choose the Find and Replace option from the Edit menu or press CTRL+F. The Find and Replace dialog box appears.
i. Type the word Sales in the Find what: text box.
ii. Click the Find whole words only check box.
iii. Click Find Next button.
iv. Replace the process until confirmation dialog box opens informing we that Word has finished searching the document.
v. Click OK.
2. Replacing Text :
Replacing is the process of locating the required text and replace the located text with specified text. Suppose we want to replace the word "Invoice" with the word "Sales" in the document, do the following.
i. Click Replace tab in the Find and Replace dialolg box.
ii. Type the word Invoice in the Find what: text box.
iii. Type the word Sales in the Replace with: text box.
iv. Click Replace push button. It replaces all the occurrences of "Invoice" with "Sales".
